The PTE Academic exam consists of three main parts:
Speaking & Writing (77 - 93 minutes):
- Personal Introduction:
- Introduce yourself, evaluating clear communication skills.
- Read Aloud:
- Read a text aloud, assessing pronunciation and oral fluency.
- Repeat Sentence:
- Repeat a given sentence, testing listening and speaking abilities.
- Describe Image:
- Analyze and describe visuals, evaluating the ability to convey information.
- Re-Tell Lecture:
- Summarize and retell a lecture, assessing listening and speaking skills.
- Answer Short Question:
- Respond to brief questions, testing quick comprehension.
- Summarize Written Text:
- Summarize a passage, assessing writing skills.
- Essay Writing:
- Write an essay on a given topic, evaluating organization and expression.
Reading (32 - 41 minutes):
- Multiple Choice, Choose a Single Answer:
- Select the most appropriate response.
- Multiple Choice, Choose Multiple Answers:
- Choose multiple correct responses.
- Re-Order Paragraphs:
- Rearrange paragraphs to test logical structure understanding.
- Fill in the Blanks (Reading):
- Complete sentences with appropriate words.
Listening (45 - 57 minutes):
- Summarize Spoken Text:
- Summarize a spoken passage, testing listening and writing skills.
- Multiple Choice, Choose Multiple Answers:
- Select multiple correct responses based on spoken information.
- Fill in the Blanks (Listening):
- Complete sentences from an audio clip.
- Highlight Correct Summary:
- Identify the most accurate summary of a spoken passage.
